Gearboxes of the WAF series have been specially developed for work boats such as tugs, fishing vessels, inland waterway crafts, ferries and special-purpose ships with similarly high performance demands.

Options
The gearboxes can be fitted with a hydraulically operated multiple disk brake built in for assisting with reversing manoeuvres or serving as fixing / stopping brake on double propeller vessels.
Class approval can be obtained for all gearbox types.
The K21 is an auxiliary drive (PTO = power take off) which may be used to drive an additional pump or generator.
It is available as primary PTO (PTO shaft turns always even if the propeller stands still) or secondary PTO (PTO shaft turns only when the propeller turns).
Standard scope of supply: without clutch (K21) or with clutch (K22).

K31
The K31 is an auxiliary drive (PTO = power take off) which may be used to drive an additional pump or generator.
The K31 is a two-stage drive in a protruding part of the gearbox housing.
It is available as primary PTO (PTO shaft turns always even if the propeller stands still) or secondary PTO (PTO shaft turns only when the propeller turns).
Standard scope of supply: without clutch (K31) or with clutch (K32).

K41
The K41 is an offset auxiliary drive (PTO = power take off) and PTI (booster) which may be used to drive a generator and to increase the power of the propulsion system.
It is available as primary PTO/PTI (PTO/PTI shaft turns always even if the propeller stands still) or secondary PTO/PTI (PTO/PTI shaft turns only when the propeller turns).
Standard scope of supply: without clutch.

K51
The K51 is an offset auxiliary drive (PTO = power take off), PTI (power take in) or booster which may be used to drive a generator, as auxiliary drive, or to increase the power of the propulsion system (booster).
It is available as primary PTO/PTI (PTO/PTI shaft turns always even if the propeller stands still) or secondary PTO/PTI (PTO/PTI shaft turns only when the propeller turns).
Standard scope of supply: with clutch.
